THE VALUE OF TRAINING
Well here I am sharing my life with all of you.
Today I wish to share the value of training and how it has helped me in my life. When I say training, what I really mean is spending a dedicated number of hours each day singularly devoted to your craft or something that is deeply important to you. It could be painting, writing, dancing, singing, reading, travelling, sculpting, yoga, playing football or anything that deeply ignites a sense of happiness and well being from within.
Backtrack to 4 years ago, training put me face to face with a lot of shortcomings within myself. Yes, not very pretty at all. I had insecurities galore, jumped to the worst possible conclusions for myself, compared myself to others and basically didn't know how to handle this magnificent brain gifted to me. Dancing and Meditation have been like God sends to help me find my path. I would also strongly recommend the book ARTISTS WAY by Julia Cameron. To say that it has changed my life would be an understatement.
Coming back to training, I'll share with you a few ways training has made my life so much more awesome-
1) It has helped me to get to know myself so much better. ( And I have to admit, I kinda love myself now 😋)
2) I truly enjoy my own company! (Sometimes a tab bit too much 😋)
3) I feel strong and hence help other people get stronger through my aerial yoga classes.
4) I have realized the value of giving myself a win every single day. The wins accumulate to create a force inside me which skyrockets in any direction that I want. It helps me transform ideas into living breathing realities right in front of me! I give myself a win and guess what happens? I start giving a win to everyone around me! ( and that's just an unbeatable feeling to be honest!)
And I realized something crucial in this time. And that something has been priceless.
If I carry on, if I JUST carry on and keep GOING, no matter what the doubts or the odds are, chances are I WILL FIND exactly what I am looking for. Half of the game is won just by turning up. Tired, turn up. Fatigued, turn up. Confused, turn up!
We are all like rivers and we are meant to flow freely. It is essential that we allow the flow to keep going. A lot of times we are our own worst enemies, somehow always putting something or someone else's needs from us ahead of what we truly want to do.
I share this with you to help you pick up that pen, to go join that yoga class, to go write that story, to go meet that friend or to go watch that glorious sunset with the wind blowing in your hair and do that one thing EVERY single day that just fires you up!
Would love it if you could share that one activity that works like magic for you!
We all need some inspiration and tell us how you keep the momentum going and if you struggle with it, I'm here to help!
Lots of Love
Deb
