Speed doesn't always mean progress

Intense activity doesn't necessarily mean progress.

Incessant running around doesn't mean that you are being productive.

Over working and allowing work to take over your weekends and your personal time doesn't mean that you are working hard. It means that you are over working and for sure that train is going to derail sooner or later 'coz guess what, the driver isn't getting enough sleep!

Yes, as entrepreneurs, there is a very fine line between being passionate about your work and being obsessed with getting things done. Sometimes the list may seem endless and it may feel that there aren't enough hours in a day. Chances are you are already over working if you are thinking that or not working efficiently enough.

In the past year, I have come to realize the value of having systems in place. When I say systems, what I mean is how to get more done in less time and allowing the helpless feeling of "getting things done" at the very last minute to turn in an extinct concept. Yes, bye bye and thank you very much for your time here. We really do not need last minute urgencies that can shake up the peace of mind of an entrepreneur who is already juggling personal, professional and other aspects of their lives.

A little done every day is a system. Waking up and deciding to get everything you wanted to get done in the past month in the same day is an impulse. A rather tiring one if you ask me.

Practicing your craft everyday is a system. Just saying that its your dream to excel in a certain craft is wishful thinking.

I have come to see that most of our life changing events come to happen because of our daily habits and  choices. What you do today, at this moment, is defining a lot more than you could even conceive.

So if you are an entrepreneur with tremendous drive and a lot to offer the world, start by gifting yourself times to take a break. Evaluate and just relax. Trust me when I say that your best ideas will always come when you are in a relaxed state of mind. Imagination needs ease and space to take birth. Not tiredness and frustration.

On that, I'm off for a one week vacation to map out some interesting changes that I have attracted into my life.

Allow stop time. Put systems in place. Make them work and then they will work for you!

Happy weekend everyone!
Love from Goa
