The magic of "ME" time

There is a magic of being alone.

Yes, I mean it. It's an absolute incomparable joy to enjoy one's own company.

Now this is coming from someone who had the fear of missing out to no end, someone who wanted constant company, someone who would never ever be able to sleep alone.

Through the years of dance training, Yoga and Meditation, I realised one thing.

The time spent alone if spent doing something we love, turns into one of the most magical memories.
Someone asked me recently some of the most memorable times of life.
Would you believe me if I said that the most memorable times were ones of me training alone or dancing alone or that one moment in meditation when I felt one with everything.

And somehow, in all these moments, I never really felt alone. Far from it actually. I felt in tune and supported by the energy inside and around me.

And from there on I stumbled upon this book called the ARTISTS WAY, which gives the idea of an ARTIST DATE, which is essentially 2 hours in a week which you spend with yourself doing ANYTHING that comes to your fancy and the only requirement is that no friend or boyfriend or family member can be a part of these 2 hours.

So I started, haltingly at first and then with more zeal.
And I started having breakthroughs in my creative field because of them! It's insanely effective!

I would sit by the field with a pen in my hand, and bam! There came the next idea for a dance production! I would sit at a beach shack taking a few pictures of the local people around me and bam! There comes the next idea of starting a story with eyes only. A series of pictures shot only of eyes and sharing them with strangers to see their perception of those eyes.

It's magical. Its like door after door after door just keeps opening! Because you are doing something that makes you soul happy, not just happy at a very materialistic level.

So this week, I would love it if you would take those 2 years, anytime of week, for yourself and tellme how your experience was!!

Alone time can be magic and a man who can enjoy his own company , shall never be bored for a single moment in life!!
