I heard my yoga teacher say something very interesting the other day. He mentioned that when you repeat something 3 times, it is on third time that you can actually get into yourself and align with your breath.

Fascinating isn't it?

Even in my dance practice, I always repeat a sequence a minimum of 3 times and what I find is that each time my body feels different and by the third time I simply feel more present inside my body rather than with my thoughts.

Its effectiveness is very obvious and with immediate results that can be felt at the moment.

With Yoga, I wish to come closer and closer to the breath for I have found that there is no greater peace to be found anywhere in the world or with anyone else. This is not to demean any loving relationships but just to say that alignment with the breath is more like alignment with everything else around you.

The one who has mastered being with the breath will have mastered the very essence of life.

I'm still fascinated as to how the breath awareness can change the entire quality of our lives. Observe yourself after a month of meditation and 3 months without any meditation. You can almost experience 2 very different beings within you.

It's going to be my heartiest endeavour to focus more on the breath from now on. Be it through Pranayama, Meditation or simply my own Yoga practice.
